ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hello :) My name is Morgan Lander and this is my second year teaching 4th grade at St. Raymond School. I attended St. Raymond myself from Kindergarten all the way through eighth grade (Class of 2008). I continued my education at Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward.

I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance at the University of Oregon while also taking Education courses to prepare for my much anticipated teaching career. I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching from Saint Mary's College of California. I have my teachers from St. Raymond School to thank for shaping me into the person I am today.

When I am not teaching and working with my students, you can find me spending time with my family (I have a younger sister and a younger brother who also attended St. Raymond), growing in my Catholic faith, listening to country music, horseback riding, hiking, reading & writing, watching The West Wing, and eating at Panera.

Learning has always been a passion of mine. It brings joy to my heart to see my students develop their own love of learning. My hope is that my students become lifelong learners, open their minds to everything the world has to offer them, and develop strong morals with Jesus as their guide.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future."

- Jeremiah 29:11
