(New Britain, CT) - The New Britain High School Academies will be hosting its annual "Mock Interviews" event for all juniors and seniors for all four academies on Wednesday, December 18th from 7:45 am – 10:30 am in the NBHS cafeteria.
Students will have the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills with local community and business partners as they continue to build their career and networking skills associated with their membership in the NBHS Academy programs. Students should come professionally dressed with completed resumes to experience what it’s like to interview for a job. Information and specifics about the event will be emailed to students and parents as the event approaches.
The NBHS Academies are currently seeking volunteers for interviewers for this event. If you are a local business and/or community partner that would like to participate, please contact Gerry Berthiaume in the NBHS Academies work based learning office at 860-225-6300 x1680.
About the NBHS Academies
The New Britain High School Academies are part of the National Academy Foundation (NAF), a national network of education, business, and community leaders who work together to ensure high school students are college, career, and future ready. NAF academies offer high school students a unique opportunity to explore potential careers. Students get to meet business professionals and participate in activities that reflect the business world and enhance the academy’s traditional and career-focused curriculum. Through this experience, NAF academy graduates are better prepared for college, career, and future success. They are comprised of four Academies – the Academy of Finance, the Academy of Health Sciences, the Academy of Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology (MET), and the Academy of Public Service.
