CSA’s Girls’ Volleyball Team endures a tight 28-26 deuce, soon overpowering Miriam in 25-16 second set in an overall 2-0 victory on home turf at an Interscholastic Sports Association Tournament last October.
The first set was neck-to-neck as CSA and Miriam College took turns in exchanging spikes for only a few points at a time leading the first set into a deuce. In a final push to end the set, spiker Reggie Ang scored the last 2 points with a spike and a service ace.
With a double four-point streak, at 8-2, CSA started off strong with Miriam soon slowing down their momentum to back-and-forth scoring for both sides. With Miriam being unable to close the gap, CSA pounced for another four-point streak that ended the set at 25-16, solidifying a 2-0 straight-set victory.
