This week we get hands on with the Stretch 3 robot---we are excited to see it in action. Note that you do not need to run all parts of all tutorials on the real robot, but be sure to read all parts (including code). When you are ready to run something on the real robot, grab the physical robot token to take your turn, and return it promptly when you are done by placing it near or on the robot. If the robot is in use when you would like to use it, add yourself on the queue on the whiteboard and wait for your turn.
The labs this week will be focused on getting familiar with the Stretch documentation.
Lab 2: Introduction to the Stretch 3 hardware.
Carefully read the Safety Guide and Battery Maintenance Guide
Go through the Stretch 3 Quick Start Guide. You can skip Safety (assuming you completed Lab 2 already) and Unboxing;
Read through Robot Overview, Community Resources, and Getting Help.
Lab 3: Start programming the Stretch 3 robot.
Complete the Writing Code and Commanding Stretch to Move tutorials.
You will need to SSH to the robot for these tutorials. Talk to TA to get the credentials info for your team's account on the Stretch robot.
If the robot is in use, add your team to the queue on the whiteboard and move on to Lab 4 until the robot becomes available.
Lab 4: Get familiar with the Stretch Mujoco simulation stack
Follow the Getting Started guide to install the simulator.
Try running the Example Scripts and Example Code
