ABOUT US

The SWYHKCS Library is regarded as a valuable resource within the school, serving as one of the gateways to accessing information. It is well used by both students throughout all year levels and many members of staff. Located on the 2/F of the school building, the Library is a pleasant, fully air-conditioned room with great natural lighting. Pupils have access to 2 OPAC machines, a self checkout machine, and cushioned reading benches for relaxed reading during class-booked sessions and playtime. There are also several tables and chairs available for Intervention sessions and collaborative student/staff work to take place. The Creation Station is a non-tech maker space that provides arts and crafts materials for students to use during designated times, such as playtime.

The Library is open during school hours, five days a week. The Library Manager is on duty throughout the school day from 8.00 – 17.00, Monday – Friday. Students are welcome to borrow and return books before and after school, during break times, and during their scheduled classes.
