INDUSTRY Mentor Program
Since 2009, the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program (CRY-ROP), in partnership with the California Department of Education (CDE), has offered, CTE TEACH, a mentor support and professional development program for Career Technical Education (CTE) mentors and new CTE teachers. It is a professional development program for local education agencies (LEAs) and CTE teachers to provide mentor resources and opportunities supporting first and second year teachers transitioning from industry into the classroom.
We are excited to announce the expansion to include Industry Sector Mentors who will support new CTE teachers virtually across California assisting with industry sector needs and connections to Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).
By offering Industry Sector Mentors, CTE TEACH hopes to:
Increase CTE teacher retention
Increase CTE teacher training
Increase CTE teacher effectiveness
Enhance CTE student learning
