1) 99 Wondering Questions

Many times we are never more than a few wondering questions away from a good spiritual conversation. With the right attitude and atmosphere, any of the following 99 questions can be powerful tools.

2) Dice to Meet You

Write 12 get-to-know-you questions/conversation starters/review questions on a board or place them on slips of paper, face down on the floor/table. Have students sit in a circle. Have each student roll the dice once and answer the number question shown on the dice.

Did you see the game/Super Bowl/Olympics/March Madness/World Series/etc last night? Who did you want to win? What kind of music are you into? Is your family religious? Do you believe the same way they do? Do you ever think about God or want to know more about Him? Do you go to church (or temple or mosque) anywhere? If you could ask God one question, what would you ask? From what you know about Jesus, who do you think he was? Using a scale from 1–10, how sure are you that you will go to heaven when you die? Name a few things that have helped you have a relationship with God. How has Jesus impacted your life? Name something you have learned from Cru?

THE SHARING GOOD NEWS STUDY

IDEA BOX

Use the ideas below to make your study more interesting and engaging.

If you have an idea, share it HERE.

1) The FOUR Bracelets

The Four is more than a name. It’s a lifestyle of showing your faith. These gospel wristbands are great for starting spiritual conversations-with these four simple icons, you can share the gospel. The idea originated in Europe and is a version of The Four Spiritual Laws. The Four is an evangelism tool created by Cru in Switzerland that uses four symbols-a heart, the division symbol, the cross, and a question mark-to represent the four points of the gospel in a clear and easy-to-remember way.

2) Puzzle Activity

To emphasize the importance of sharing your faith, split into two groups, each with a simple child’s puzzle (dollar store). One team has the box top with the picture. the other does not. The completed puzzle represents a complete view of God. The box top represents you (the person who knows the gospel). If you share the gospel, it is like giving the other person a complete picture of God so that they can know how the puzzle pieces fit together. Without that picture, people are struggling trying to figure it out and just putting their own ideas together however it makes sense to them. You might also take a few pieces out of the puzzle with no top demonstrating that they don’t have all the pieces (facts about God). Then give them to them a few minutes into the activity showing that when we tell people things about God that they didn’t know, it helps them complete a right picture of God.
