Let Him Lead
A great way to prepare a student to lead a small group of their own is to simply let them lead in your group. While you lead his group with his friends, ask him to lead 1/2 of the study for you. If you have to miss a group, ask him to lead the whole group. Try him out in that setting and give him tips and pointers in areas he needs to grow.

We have a great 4 week small group series called DISCIPLING OTHERS that we use to prepare students to follow someone up and prepare to lead a small group. We would encourage you to lead your leaders through this 4 week series in preparation for leading their small group.
