Field Staff should ask their Team Leaders about which conference they will be serving at and inviting students to. Last spring, each Team Leader submitted location preferences for their specific team based on what was most strategic for their scope, and happily, we were able to honor most teams’ first preference!
Capacity Staff should also ask their Team Leader which location will be best for them to serve at. Many of the locations have specific needs and we would like you to consider serving in some of the areas of greatest need. These needs have been sent to you in an email.
For the conference preferencing process, things that apply to multiple conferences, or overall Winter Conference questions, you are welcome to reach out to the Winter Conference Leadership Team. The best way to reach us is through Workplace, or email us at WCDT@cru.org.
For questions about a specific conference, find a list of the Conference Director emails for each location (including Field Strategy conferences) in this Conference Communication List. The members and roles of the Winter Conference Leadership Team are listed there as well.
All field and capacity staff are required to attend and serve at either a Local Missions or Field Strategy event. In the case of couples with children, only one spouse is required to attend and serve, though both wife and husband are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Each Winter Conference location works hard to create an environment in which kids are welcome and both wife and husband are able to serve and participate. For more details see the 2019-20 Winter Conference National Attendance Expectations.
For specific situations please refer to the Attendance Expectations. The deadline for exemptions is October 23. After this date, only emergency requests are being considered.
The dates and locations for all seven Local Missions Winter Conferences are viewable at WinterConference.org.

Our High School ministry is reevaluating their overall conference and event strategy, in hopes of greater fruitfulness moving forward. As they engage in this process, the Winter Conference Leadership Team is also engaging to seek out ways that Winter Conference might sync with High School’s goals and better serve our audiences together. This document will be updated as more clarity comes!
