We're happy to see many of you!
Looking forward to seeing the rest of you in-person as soon as we can!
Welcome to Sunrise Elementary!
Sunrise Elementary School serves approximately 420 preschool through fourth-grade students. We first opened our doors for the 2001-02 school year and have continued to grow and learn together as we strive to improve our already high academic standards. We have implemented a number of programs to assist students in reaching their academic goals including full-day kindergarten, Best Practices as taught by the Reading First Program, and PBL (Project Based Learning). We also offer a variety of after school programs including art, sports, drama, and reading and math clubs.
The philosophy we hold dear at Sunrise Elementary School is to “Do What’s Best for Children.” This philosophy is evident in every classroom, every day. We are excited about our school and what we have to offer. And once you get to know us, you will be too.
United States Census
The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. That funding shapes many different aspects of every community, no matter the size, no matter the location.
Think of your morning commute: Census results influence highway planning and construction, as well as grants for buses, subways, and other public transit systems.
Or think of your local schools: Census results help determine how money is allocated for the Head Start program and for grants that support teachers and special education.
The list goes on, including programs to support rural areas, to restore wildlife, to prevent child abuse, to prepare for wildfires, and to provide housing assistance for older adults.
Curious about what other programs are impacted by census data? Download this report to see a full list.
