About the Counselor

Hello. My name is Halli Sanford-Ryan. I am the professional school counselor at Cedar River Academy (CRA). I love working with children and families. For the past 25+ years I have served children and families in a variety of roles. My favorite role is working as a school counselor.

I am originally from Illinois. I moved to Iowa as a teenager and lived most of my life in Des Moines Iowa. I went to college at Grand View University and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. I am a Hawkeye Fan and love to go to football and basketball games. My husband Kent, who also works for the Cedar Rapids School District, and I like to golf, kayak and laugh! Oh... Go Cubs!
