There are two common reasons for this error:
There are two common reasons for this error:
1οΈβ£ You may be trying to create your assignment from the Stream tab, which is only for creating Announcements. To create an Assignment, go to the Classwork tab.
2οΈβ£ The "make a copy for each student" option is only available when you FIRST create an assignment. If you're going back to edit an assignment you already made, this will not be an option.

βοΈ Go to the Classwork tab.
βοΈ Click Create.
βοΈ Click Reuse Post.
βοΈ Select the assignment you previously made.
βοΈ Before clicking Post for the new version, change the assignment to "make a copy for each student."
βοΈ Delete the assignment you previously made.
