📢 questions about assigning district lessons

I’ve received a few questions about assigning district lessons, so I thought I’d share the questions and answers with the group.
The due date for district lessons is Sunday. This information will be communicated to parents through our social media campaign as well as our COVID-19 website.
With this being our first week, our lesson writers are still making a few tweaks to the distance learning templates based on feedback. Please have your teachers wait until Sunday evening/Monday morning to assign those lessons. If they assign them any earlier, they may not post the most up-to-date version of the lesson. If teachers have already posted them, it’s not a big deal. They can delete the assignment in Google Classroom and then repost later.
No, teachers shouldn’t make any changes to the district template, it should be assigned directly from the shared drive labeled “Distance Learning Templates.” When teachers want to replace a supplemental lesson with their own activity, they’ll create a new assignment in Google Classroom and note, either in the assignment name or instructions, that their activity will replace a supplemental lesson for the week.
