π¬ Distance Learning Update
(from Mr. Keith on April 1)
Thank you for everything you have done to get distance learning off to a strong start in Crowley ISD! There are going to be bumps and bruises during the early stages of something new, but you have worked tirelessly with parents and students to help get them up and running. Iβve always been amazed by the compassion and patience of teachers, and these challenging times have only reaffirmed what an incredible group of people are serving our students.
This email has four important items for your attention as we keep working to improve our distance learning process.
There are a lot of steps that go into properly assigning district lessons each week. This checklist will help you make sure youβve done everything you need for a successful week of distance learning. You can review the checklist here or by using the attached PDF.
Based on your feedback, here are two new videos to help you become even better at using Google Classroom
Learn how to adjust email and mobile notifications, turn on/off student comments in the Stream, and organize your Classwork tab by topics for easier navigation.
This parent video shows two easy ways for families with multiple students to access Google Classroom on a shared computer.
Have an idea for how we can improve our distance learning processes? Want to share how someone has provided next-level support? Have a suggestion for a helpful video? Submit these ideas and more using our simple Distance Learning Feedback form.
All the resources above have been added to the Curriculum and Instruction website. If parents or students need Google Classroom help, direct them to the βDistance Learningβ page on the COVID-19 website, where our βHow-Toβ videos have already had over 4,000 views.
As always, thank you for all you do for the students of Crowley ISD.
