Programme Coordinator, United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement Project of Assistance
Carolina Quiroz has specialized during the last thirteen years in environmental management, sustainable development and climate change. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and a Master's degree in Environment Development, and Policy from the University of Sussex, England. Subsequently, she had the opportunity to take a postgraduate course at the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan to specialize in capacity building for climate change. She was also selected as a Fellow of the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea. Later, Carolina joined the United Nations System working for UNDP, UNIDO, UNEP and now the Division of Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (DOALOS). Currently, Carolina serves as the Program Coordinator of the Project of Assistance to Strengthen Participation in and Implementation of the United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement (UNFSA).
