Born 1972.
Master’s degree in International Law 1994. Has served at different positions at the Legal Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Russian Permanent Missions to the International Organizations in Vienna and Geneva. Covered Law of the Sea, Fisheries, Polar Regions issues, Environmental Law, Outer Space Law. Participated in numerous international meetings and conferences, including UN General Assembly oceans processes and Regional Fisheries Management Organizations/Arrangements, contributed to the drafting of several international agreements.
With DOALOS since April 2016. Portfolio includes international fisheries including the 1995 UN Fish Stocks Agreement and related processes, the Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea, the Regular Process for Global Reporting and Assessment of the State of the Marine Environment, including Socioeconomic Aspects (World Ocean Assessment), Sustainable Development Goal 14, marine science, protection of the Marine Environment, capacity-building and others.
Participated in the servicing of the Intergovernmental Conference that adopted the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement).
Married with two daughters.
