Camille Jean Pierre Manel, Executive Secretary, International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT)
Camille Jean Pierre Manel has been the Executive Secretary of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) since July 2018. He holds a Master 2 in Fisheries and Aquaculture and a Master 2 in Economics of Marine Resources and Coastal Environment. Mr. MANEL has been Coordinator of the Studies and Planning Unit, Director of Maritime Fisheries, Director of the Management and Exploitation of the Seabed at the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy in Senegal, with a short experience of the NGOs with Greenpeace Africa as Political Advisor in Dakar. He later rejoined the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy as Technical Advisor to the Ministry before taking up his current duties in ICCAT. With 33 years of experience in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, Camille Jean Pierre Manel has in-depth knowledge in the field of sustainable fisheries management and multilateral negotiations.
