Art Around the World

Students learned about Día de los Muertos this week. Students used what they learned and observed about Día de los Muertos to create their own calavera (skull) out of metal. Students used embossing techniques to create a raised surface on the metal. Lastly students added a poem about someone in their life that has passed away. Students wrote this poem as a way to remember all of the great things about that person (or pet).
