Art Around the World

During this art course we will study artwork from different cultures and countries around the world.

Students have finished their Japanese Notans and Doodle 4 Google designs. Mrs. Wheatman will be submitting their designs to Google within the next few weeks. The competition closes on March 2nd and the winners will be chosen and notified. Our students have some amazing designs and a really good chance at winning!

Sixth and Seventh graders are now working on yarn paintings in the style of the native Huichol people of Mexico. Their yarn paintings are made completely out of yarn and glue and have to depict something from nature. Students are challenged by using a medium (yarn) that they may have not used before.

Creighton School District has been presented with a great opportunity to display student artwork at Masterpiece Donuts and Coffee on Indian School and 40th St. Biltmore is the first school up on the monthly rotation! Biltmore artwork will be up early next week until March 15th. Stop in to see their amazing work and enjoy some REALLY good donuts and coffee! Congrats to a few of our talented Middle School Students whose artwork will be on display: Nicholas Miller, Emily Ingram and Leticia Mendoza.
