In recent years, people have done many things to help animals but it may not be enough to save them. Animals need our help and not us to hurt them, whether in a farm or in your backyard. Even the wild animals need our help. Scientists have found out that animals are more intelligent than you think.
If you don’t know what extinction means, it is the word scientists use when all the living species of an animal or plant will die off in less than 20 years. That seems long but it's not. Endangered species are plants and animals at risk of dying out and disappearing forever.
Animal welfare means the life that is experienced by the animal is important for people to think about. Animal welfare is important because there are so many animals suffering from being used for fashion, sport, and entertainment instead of just being allowed to live in wild.
There are so many ways kids can help animals like adopting a pet or just picking up trash in your backyard. Another way is by donating things that you don't need, or playing with your pet (if you have one) so they don't feel lonely. People can donate time, love, or even money to help support animals.
Another way to help animals is to help keep our environment clean and safe for wildlife. Join a clean up day or just be a citizen hero by picking up trash on trails, in parks, along rivers and creeks, on ocean beaches, and even off streets.
There are a lot of things that hurt animals, but habitat destruction is the most critical problem. It is identified as a main threat to 85% of all species described in the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature).
Habitat loss due to the destruction of habitat, is the main threat to the survival of wildlife in the United States. Habitat loss can happen when buildings, roads, farms, and factories are built in places that used to be wild. Habitat loss when nature gets destroyed or damaged by pollution.
Giant Pandas are one of the most endangered animals on Earth
There are only 3,000 tigers left in the wild.
One of the things that hurt habitats are lumberjacks (people who cut down trees).
Another thing that hurts animals is plastic which pollutes the ground and gets into the ocean.
