     Did you know that dogs cannot actually see color like humans can? Dogs can only see gray, brown, yellow, and blue. 

      But dogs have better low-light vision than humans because of a special light-reflecting layer behind their retinas. 

     Also, dogs don't sweat like humans do. A dog's only sweat glands are between their paw pads. Humans sweat in order to cool down. 

    Since dogs can't sweat, they pant in order to cool themselves down. That's why it could be very hard for a dog to breathe when it is hot outside. 

    Dogs do many good things for humans, like being a good friend, companion, helper, and lifesaver. So be a good friend to your dog and make sure it has lots of shade and fresh water on hot days.
