WELCOME!
Dual credit is a system in which eligible high school students can enroll in college courses and receive both high school and college credit. Crawford ISD has a dual credit partnership with McLennan Community College. Students in grades 10 - 12 have the opportunity to enroll in approved dual credit courses taught in a variety of settings including: courses taught on the high school campus, courses taught on MCC's campus, and/or classes taught online.
If you have any questions that cannot be answered with information available on this webpage, please reach out to Crawford High School Counselor Korie Dutschmann (kdutschmann@crawford-isd.net).
INTERESTED IN TAKING DUAL CREDIT?
Step 1: Review available courses for Spring 2026.
In the Spring 2026 semester, the following dual credit courses will be offered in Crawford ISD.
JUNIORS - HIST 1301 will be available in Spring 2026 to eligible students and taught on the Crawford High School campus. The plan is for two sections to be available (one section that meets Monday/Wednesday from 7:25 to 8:45 AM and one that meets Tuesday/Thursday from 7:25 to 8:45 AM). Section assignments will be created based on what works best with student activities in the spring. Please contact Ms. Dutschmann ASAP if a specific section assignment needs to be considered for you/your student. (Note: History 1301 (taken in the Spring) is not included in GPA.)
SENIORS - ECON 2301 will be available in Spring 2026 to eligible students. Because of low enrollment numbers, this course will be offered online only. The schedule/location for students enrolled is still to be determined. Please note: According to Crawford ISD’s board policy (Local Policy EIC — Academic Achievement: Class Ranking), GPA and class ranking exclude grades earned in any distance learning (online) course. This means that based on current enrollment estimates, ECON 2301 will not be included in GPA or class ranking for the Class of 2026.
*Juniors & seniors: If you are interested in taking additional dual credit classes, please see Ms. Dutschmann.
Step 2: Check eligibility.
Use the Crawford High School Dual Credit Eligibility handout to assess your eligibility to take dual credit courses.
Step 3: Request dual credit for your high school schedule and complete the CISD Dual Credit Student/Parent Agreement.
Reach out to Ms. Dutschmann (kdutschmann@crawford-isd.net) about which courses you would like to take. You and your parents will also need to read and sign the CISD Dual Credit Student/Parent Agreement form (see Ms. Dutschmann for a paper copy).
Step 4: Complete online enrollment.
Go to the MCC High School Pathways webpage, and review the enrollment checklist. This checklist should walk you through all necessary steps for enrollment, including orientation.
