You can access files on any device with internet access (computer, iPad, or smartphone).
Files save automatically.
You can let others view or even edit your work.
You can store any file in Google Drive, not just Google files (photos, videos, etc.)
Click the plus sign.
Choose folder.
Give your new folder a name.
You can do this while inside another folder to make a subfolder. For instance, you could have a folder for each subject, and then a subfolder for different units in that subject.
Tap the "hamburger menu" (3 lines in top left corner) to view recent files.
If you can't remember what folder you put a file in, you can use the Search bar at the top of the screen and type a file name (or part of the name if you don't remember all of it).
If someone has shared a file with you, you can find that by tapping on the Shared menu at the bottom of the screen.
Use the plus menu to create new files:
Google Docs: word processing files, like Microsoft Word
Google Sheets: spreadsheet files, like Microsoft Excel
Google Slides: presentation files, like Microsoft PowerPoint
Upload: use this option if you have a file stored somewhere on your iPad that you want to store in Google Drive.
Use camera: use this option to take a photo or video and store it in Google Drive.
