November 5th Professional Day for Units A & B

Everything You Need to Know about November 5th:

• Who: All Unit A and B members will participate in a full day of staff meetings on Tuesday November 5th.

• When: As noted in the 10/2 issue of Staff Connection, all professional meetings on November 5th will begin at 8:00AM and end at 2:55PM.

• Where: Please see the spreadsheet below (or click here) to find your group's meeting location. 

• What: For your easy reference, individual session agendas are being linked to the spreadsheet.

• Lunch: Educators will have a 55 minute lunch break. You may bring your own lunch, order from a food-delivery service, or grab lunch on your own at an establishment near your meeting site.

• Parking & Public Transportation: Please see this Parking & Transportation Overview with information about each training site.

• Attendance: Tuesday, November 5th is a contractual work day for Units A & B and attendance will be taken. If you are sick on November 5th please let your supervisor know so that your absence can be noted on your timesheet. 

• Unit D Members: Under the new contract, Building Substitutes and Extended-Term Substitutes are expected to participate in the November 5th professional learning activities. 

  • • If you are an Extended-Term Substitute (ETS), you should join the session that corresponds to the grade level or content area that pertains to your specific assignments (as if you were a Unit A member). 

    • If you are a Building Substitute, please ask your building administrator which of the trainings would be most appropriate. 

    • Unit D members will be paid at their contractual rate for their participation, and should confirm their attendance with their school clerk.
