Teachers can independently reserve library teaching spaces during the school day by clicking on the appropriate room calendar(s) below and following these instructions. To reserve a space outside the regular school hours, please contact the library staff: crls_library@cpsd.us
The Inquiry Lab is located in the far left corner of the library. The space is designed to support diverse methods of research through hands-on, project-based learning with maker materials. The room is equipped with a whiteboard wall, moveable tables (enough for a class of 24), BenQ Board, and lots of maker materials (i.e. arts and crafts supplies, textiles, recycled materials, natural materials, etc.) NOTE: There is NO teacher computer. Please bring your own device.
If the Inquiry Lab is booked, consider our Mobile Inquiry Lab, a cart full of the materials that can come to your classroom! Please email us if you need specific materials.
The Fiction Section is located on the right side of the library's main room by the fiction bookshelves. The room is equipped with a rolling BenQ Board and a hookup for your laptop. All of the furniture in this space may be moved to accommodate presentations for larger groups (up to 100). NOTE: There is NO teacher computer. Please bring your own device.
The Quiet Zone is located on the left side of the library’s main room. This room is equipped with a BenQ Board. NOTE: There is NO teacher computer. Please bring your own device.
Collaboration Space 1 can be reserved by both CRLS students and staff and is located in the far right corner of the library’s main room. This small group space is equipped with a large TV monitor that can connect to mobile devices and a large collaboration table with power outlets for charging devices. The space can seat up to 8 people comfortably.
Collaboration Space 2 can be reserved by both CRLS students and staff and is located at the center of the window wall in the library’s main room. This small group space is equipped with a large monitor that can connect to mobile devices and a large collaboration table with power outlets for charging devices. The space can seat up to 6 people comfortably.
