Every CSUS scholar is an Artist.
Artists . . .
experiment with materials
are thoughtful
express uniqueness
have passion
In the CSUS art room, scholars will practice Artistic Behaviors to develop and grow as artists and create work that is personally meaningful and engaging. The art room is a place to be kind, safe, and respectful.
Your art projects will be based on your interests and express your unique vision. You will practice and experiments with a variety of materials, techniques, and methods. You will sharpen your critical thinking skills and personal artistic point of view through art research, critiques, and reflections.
Together we will celebrate and enjoy the wonder of art!
Scholars learn about adire cloth from Nigeria, use indigo dye to design fabric, and make handmade pillows (and upgrade a pair of socks)
About Ms. Silbert
This is my 10th year with CSUS and my 20th year as an educator. I grew up in the Boston area and have two children and a cat named Mr. Mochi. I love making art, being outside in nature, drinking tea, reading, and watching movies with my family.
