The summer after graduation she attended Westfield State’s Urban Education Program and continued her first year of college at Westfield State. Ms. Williams then transferred to Wheelock College and earned a bachelor's degree in Social Work. After working as a medical assistant for 7 years, she earned a masters degree in School Counseling from Cambridge College. Ms. Williams’ inspiration to become a school counselor was the support she received from her high school counselor. Growing up in a single parent household and knowing she would be the first in her family to attend college, Ms. Williams was not sure how she could afford college. It was her counselor’s guidance that made her realize she could attend college. Ms. Williams has been a school counselor at CRLS since she earned her master’s degree 24 years ago. It is important to her that she provide the students of CRLS with the type of caring and knowledgeable school counseling she received when she was in school. According to Ms. Williams, being a school counselor for the school she graduated from is not her work, it is her passion.

In her free time, she spends time with family and enjoys watching her children participate in their extra-curricular activities. Hobbies include but aren’t limited to: crafts, cake decorating, ice-skating Favorite places she has traveled: Italy, Brevard NC, White Mountains, Vermont. Ms. Williams loves the mountain regions!
