Welcome to the K-5 CPHS Theatre Production. This year’s production will be Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids. This show is to provide more theatre opportunities to students in our corporation. Auditions will only be for elementary students. We are excited to once again be including the high school students in the directing and creative designs of the show!
Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.
The show will be June 5 & 6.
We are excited to have high school students step into leadership roles for this production: director, student director, lighting design, set design, etc.

Please submit your completed online audition application. The audition application will require you to submit a “headshot” of the student auditioning, as well as three audition videos (see below).
To complete the online form, students must be logged into their CPCSC Student Google Account.
All audition & casting information will be distributed via our website – cphstheatre.com.

The cast list will be announced on the website only (www.cphstheatre.com)
There will be no individual emails or phone calls about casting.
Mandatory Parent & Performer Meeting

There will be a $30 production fee for students who make the show. This fee goes toward t-shirts and other production items. Scholarships are available for students to students with financial needs.

Rehearsals will begin the week of April 13th – Rehearsals will be Mondays and Fridays 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
(Mondays: Vocal/Acting. Fridays: Choreo/Acting)
The rehearsal schedule will be tight and even tighter in the weeks leading up to the show. Other time commitments (including vacations, sports, etc.) will affect casting. Please consider all time commitments prior to auditioning.

CPHS Summer Theatre Camp (June 8-12) is completely separate from this production. Students are welcome to do both. (Camp information will be available on our website closer to Spring Break.)
