Yesica was separated from her family at 19 and deported to El Salvador, where she was stalked, attacked and forced to flee. Attempting to reunite with her family in Illinois, Yesica was apprehended and has been held in Texas jails for 2 years. Now her deportation is imminent. If she is deported she will be killed by the gang members who killed her father and targeted her.

Calling creatives of all ages! We need your help to make art for Yesica, trapped in immigrant detention and yearning to reunite with her family here in Chicago. Let's raise her spirits and our own by sending her love, support and hope through art!

Yesica was separated from her family at 19 and deported to El Salvador. Fleeing her father's murderers, she sought to reunite with her family in Illinois. Since then Yesica has been held in Texas jails for 2 years.

We will make art together in the park for Yesica. Art supplies will be provided as well as snacks and water. SparkArt artists will be present to guide those seeking any kind of assistance with their artwork.

There will be live music by Ochin Pakhi, an Indian folk band, led by Bengali singer Subhajit Sengupta.
