Dress Code

Farnsworth Dress Code for 2023-24 School Year

Students may wear any school appropriate clothing providing it meets the following guidelines:

Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh, pants should not have holes above the knee.

Shirts should cover the front and back from the neck to the waistband and have a sleeve.

Undergarments should not be visible.

ALL CLOTHING MUST FIT APPROPRIATELY

Students who wear clothing or accessories that display the following as determined by the administration: illegal substances, obscenities, inappropriate language, affiliation with gangs, encourage illegal activity, racial hatred or violence, or who dress in a manner that causes serious disruption to the orderly process of the classroom will be asked to change and may be subject to discipline in accordance with the terms of the CPS Student Code of Conduct, including in-school or out of school detentions or suspensions.

PE/Health Class Days

Students are expected to wear an appropriate tshirt/sweatshirt (Farnswear encouraged!), and athletic pants or shorts that are easy to move around in along with gym shoes on PE/Health class days.

Students cannot wear jewelry for safety reasons during PE.

Shoes

School appropriate footwear in good repair

No flip-flops/slides/slippers (for safety reasons)


School Spirit Days

School Spirit Days are every Friday (or the last day of the week), as well as announced days for special celebrations. On these days, wear any Farnsworth Apparel, or Farnsworth colors!
