Jordan's Clinicians Corner

As Social Workers, we are

-responsible for the educational, psychological, and social development, progress, tracking, assessment and support of all students in assigned classes/caseloads. 

-    Small group counseling (i.e. Rainbows, Act & Adapt)

-   Collaborate on Classroom SEL Lessons (i.e. Second Step)

-   Observe students in various school environments

-   Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, school clinicians

Respond to school crises or emergency situations

As School Counselors, we perform the following roles in order to promote positive development in academic, career, and personal/social domains:


-   Individual solution focused counseling

-   Small group counseling (i.e. Rainbows, Act & Adapt)

-   Classroom guidance (i.e. whole class lessons such as Success Bound)

-   Post Secondary Planning 

-   Attend and participate in academic intervention meetings

-   Observe students in various school environments

-    Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, school clinicians (social worker, psychologist, etc.), and students

-    Respond to school crises or emergency situations

-   Provide information and resources to parents on a variety of  issues


Psychologist is responsible for

-conducting psychological assessments 

-providing high-quality, evidence-based services to support the academic achievement and optimal mental and behavioral health

-collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders, including students, parents, principals, teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and community service agencies

-provide prevention activities and intervention strategies that enhance student outcomes.
