A new school year has started and that also means we have some new ENGspire reporters. As part of our first lesson, our reporters completed a worksheet to introduce themselves. They had the opportunity to draw and write about who they are and what they enjoy.
We're excited to share their introductions with you! Take a look at the worksheets below to get to know our talented team of ENGspire reporters.
We’re excited to share the results of our recent project where our ENGspire Reporters interviewed each other about their hobbies! Each reporter wrote an article highlighting the cool interests and stories of their peers.
We invite you to check out these articles and celebrate the creativity of our young writers.
Chinese New Year is an important holiday. It is a time for families to come together and enjoy quality time. A big part of the celebration is eating tasty food. Each dish has its own special meaning. We asked our ENGspire reporters to make a poster about one of these Chinese New Year foods.

On March 26, 2025, the school sports day was held at Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground. For our ENGspire reporters, it’s an exciting day—not just because they compete, but also because they get to act like real reporters. We challenge them to do live reporting and interviews. All their work is recorded and edited into a real news report. Here are a few snap shots.
To give our students a look at what being a reporter is like, we organized a visit to Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). During the visit, we toured the building, saw some recording studios, and got to talk with a reporter.
For our school’s 55th anniversary, we asked our ENGspire reporters to share their favorite room in the school and explain what makes it special. They began by writing reports and then created videos to express their thoughts and memories. This project celebrates our school’s history and the unique experiences that shape our community. The videos were proudly showcased during our school's Open Day.
To spark creativity and improve their newspaper article writing skills, we tasked our students with writing an article about a Christmas mishap inspired by a specific picture. This activity encouraged them to think critically and creatively, transforming a visual prompt into an engaging story that showcases their writing talents.
This year’s Sports Day took place on January 18, 2024, where all students gathered at the sports ground to compete with enthusiasm. Our ENGspire Reporters recorded the results and wrote an article highlighting the day’s events and the impressive spirit of teamwork displayed by everyone. It was a fantastic celebration of athleticism and camaraderie!
Chinese New Year celebrations are rich with traditions. We invited our students to select one tradition and create a comic about it. This project encourages them to explore their culture while expressing their creativity through visual storytelling.
