UNIT 3: Alma Woodsey Thomas
You know what, you're never too old, (or too young!) to become a famous artist, as Alma Woodsey Thomas proves. At age 80 she had a solo show at the Whitney Museum of Art! She is one of the first African-American female artists to be featured in the White House, and the first to be part of the permanent collection. Explore color and technique with this fun unit. Try one version, or try all three!
