Why?
Science is about "why". The formal language and methods of science can seem intimidating, but at its basic level, science just means trying to figure out why things work they way they do. Science works best if we can build upon what others have already discovered about the universe, but there are no final answers in science. Every discovery leads to many new questions.

Science is powerful. What we learn from the process of science allows us to understand how things work, even things that we could never personally experience!
About Mr. Evertson
Learning is the key to every human life. What you learn is up to you, no one can make you learn something. But once you do learn, no one can take that away from you.
I taught chemistry and physics at Cozad High School for 18 years before I became the district's first technology director in 2008. I retired in 2019 and completed my doctoral studies, and now I teach science at Cozad Middle School.
I love learning for myself and I love teaching others. I am here to help you learn about science and how it impacts your life as well as the lives of others.
My wife Stacy and I have lived in Cozad since 1991 and all three of our grown children are Cozad graduates. We love the Cozad community and we are proud to be Haymakers!
