Course Description

Bel Canto is a women's choir consisting of talented beginning and experienced students. This class is for students looking for a chance to sing daily and a few opportunities to perform.


Performance Attire

Bel Canto has two uniforms. The first is black pants, black shoes, and black socks with the music department t-shirt. The second is the same with the addition of a choir robe and stole. Robes and stoles must remain at school and not taken home without special permission. Students will be told which uniform to wear for each performance.


  • Other:

    • No visible jewelry.

    • Hair should be worn away from the face.

    • Perfume should not be worn for performances.

    • Deodorant is necessary.


T-shirts are handed out at the beginning of the year to new students. See the Fees section below. Should you misplace your shirt or grow out of your old one, extras may be available as a trade or for a fee. In the case your shirt cannot be replaced a plain black t-shirt with no logos can be worn.


Fees

Bel Canto members must purchase the music department t-shirt for $15. Students who already have a shirt do not need to pay for a new one. A department fundraiser may be planned, but this will be determined at a later date.

  • April 24, 2020 @ All Day - District Music Contest (Large Ensembles, Solos & Small Ensembles; 9-12)

  • May 4, 2020 @ 6:00 p.m. - Fine Arts Night (9-12)

  • May 7, 2020 @ 7:00 p.m. - Final HS Concert (9-12)

  • May 16, 2020 @ 4:00 p.m. - Graduation (9-12)
