CEC Graphic Communications
Graphic communications is an art and a science. It is the processes and industries that design AND produce products utilizing or incorporating words or pictorial images to convey information, ideas, and feelings. It appeals to those who have a creative flair as well as to those who are interested in science and technology. The field of graphic communications represents a very large profession. It is among the largest in the world.
Through this class the students are exposed to both sides of the industry: design and output which could be printing or video graphics. Students will design different projects using industry software used in the Design field: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and InDesign. After the project is designed, they will also learn the other aspects of the industry: print or video. In the print lab they will use different printing & finishing techniques: digital, screen, dye sublimation, vinyl, and bindery.
