CEC Graphic Communications

Graphic communications is an art and a science. It is the processes and industries that design AND produce products utilizing or incorporating words or pictorial images to convey information, ideas, and feelings. It appeals to those who have a creative flair as well as to those who are interested in science and technology. The field of graphic communications represents a very large profession. It is among the largest in the world.

Through this class the students are exposed to both sides of the industry, design and printing. Students will design different projects using industry software used in the Design field: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. After the project is designed, they will also learn the other aspect of the industry, print. In the print lab they will use different printing & finishing techniques: digital, screen, dye sublimation, vinyl, and bindery.
