Past Productions 2020-2021

Fall 2020

Our fall theatrical production was An Old-Fashioned Radio Play. This was a mash-up of five radio plays that were aired in the 30s, 40s, and 50s along with a bit of original script thrown in.

  • Summary: The voice actors of LRPD Radio are showing up on Nov. 20, 1950, for their typical job of voicing several shows. There are "behind-the-scenes" issues of a love quadrangle as well as a husband trying to keep his pregnant wife happy. This is all happening while they are staying true to the voices and sound effects required for their radio audience. The ensemble for the play includes Hannah Alldredge, Elise Farrell, Terran Matthews, Joey Mallory, Evie Wilson, and Maddie Landa. A cameo voiceover by Mr. Hubbard completes the cast.

  • Performance: Due to the COVID Freeze restrictions along with cast and director illnesses, the live performance turned into a recorded performance which can be viewed at the links below. Act II is only partially recorded, as technical difficulties interrupted the act part way through. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Spring Play 2021

We tried something a bit different for this production, as only three actors showed up for auditions. Instead of producing the play that we had to cancel due to COVID, the actors decided that they wanted to do a serious play in order to challenge themselves. We looked for possible scripts and came to A Body of Water by Lee Blessing. This was an interesting choice, as the playwright leaves the story very open-ended. The three actors (Hannah Alldredge, Elise Farrell, and Terran Matthews) did an amazing job with their parts and the audiences remarked about their abilities!
