PE Homework Challenge of the Month
Complete this circuit 2 to 3 times a week for the month of March. Write Fitness Circuit on each of the days you completed the circuit in your fitness log. Find your pulse and write down your Target Heart Rate under the words Fitness Circuit. Have your parents initial that you completed the challenge. Challenges will change each month and we will practice them during PE warm-ups.
TV Challenge: While you are watching TV complete this workout circuit during commercial breaks. You can also complete this circuit outside or in a safe area anytime of the day. Try not to take breaks during the circuit and quickly transition from one exercise to the next. Rest for 1 to 2 minutes before starting the circuit over again.
March Fitness Circuit
- Jump Rope 1 min (Jump Rope for Heart!!)
- Hold side plank for 30 seconds, then switch
- Backwards lunge for 45 seconds
- 25 Mountain Climbers
- 20 Split Squats
- 25 Full Body Crunches
- Wall Sit 1 min
Rest for 1 to 2 min
Repeat this circuit 3-4 times OR at every commercial break.
*Remember to get 60 minutes of physical activity everyday! Include this workout in your daily physical activity goal. The days that you do not complete the circuit be active for 60 minutes. Ex. Running, Biking or Briskly Walking.
*Remember to stretch all muscle groups before and after the fitness circuit.
