ELA:
This week in ELA, we continued reading Ways to Make Sunshine and, in celebration of Lunar New Year, students participated in engaging activities focused on the Year of the Horse. They created craft horses and learned about the importance of symbolism and what different traits can represent in different cultures.
Math:
In Math, we strengthened our division fluency skills by practicing equal groups and building a deeper understanding of how division connects to multiplication. Students also reviewed factors and explored “factor rainbows” to visually identify factor pairs.
Social Studies:
In Social Studies, students continued working on their Black History Month 5W Poems. They are doing a wonderful job researching and organizing their thinking around who, what, where, when, and why to honor influential historical figures. We are excited to see their final pieces come together!
