This week during ELA, we practiced our letters of the week F and I, worked on our new sight words, and practiced using our reader finger to point to each word in a sentence. In Math, we practiced ordinal numbers. We did this by completing cut and glues, a walk the room, read Room on the Broom, and followed-up with a craft
Please practice the following sight words at home:

This week for social studies we learned all about maps. We read the book "Follow That Map!: A First Book of Mapping Skills" by Scot Ritchie. Afterwards, we created our own town maps.
This week in science, we explored apples through a fun tasting activity! Students tried three different kind of apples- red, green, and golden. Afterwards, they completed an activity sheet where they colored the apples and described how each apple tasted: sour, juicy, sweet, or crunchy.
Today was our first service learning day! We read "Maddi's Fridge" by Lois Brandt and afterwards decorated brown paper bags that we later fill with food for individuals facing food insecurity. We loved having you all, and look forward to next time!
For those who have not yet done so, please bring in your child’s supplies, emergency kit, and extra clothes.
