This week in ELA, our fourth graders continued their adventure with Holes by Louis Sachar, diving deeper into the story and its characters. They also explored adjectives to make their writing more vivid and practiced expressing their dreams by writing about what they want to be when they grow up.

In MATH, we’re gearing up for our first unit test next Wednesday, October 1st. Students can prepare by reviewing the helpful resources in their Google Classroom. 

This week, students continued exploring the Mindfulness Pillar, focusing on ways to stay centered and calm. The Combo Crew practiced being kind to themselves, especially when faced with distractions in their environment. They learned strategies to acknowledge their feelings, refocus their attention, and maintain a positive mindset even when challenges arise. 

EMERGENCY FOOD STILL NEEDED

We still have not received several bags of emergency food, and we need it as soon as possible. Please be sure to send in your child's emergency food right away so we can have them on hand in case of an emergency.
