What we do:

Counseling offers students an opportunity to develop this awareness and understanding within caring relationships being formed with responsible adults who are specially trained to reflect upon and support social and emotional development.

Group Counseling is offered to take advantage of peer support and peer to peer experiences that allow for both the development of self-awareness and the practice of new understandings.

Creative Arts Therapies support the many ways that all people make meaning of their lives and connect to their strengths. Visual arts, mural design, creative writing, poetry, spoken word, dance, authentic movement, music, theater and photography are some of the artistic modalities employed by our licensed creative arts therapists to support growth within a school community.

Open Art Studio offer students a space to work on both directed projects and their own personal artwork while socializing with peers during lunch.

The Referral process begins with contacting school guidance counselors or teachers if interested in your child receiving services.

CIS SEL/Trauma-Informed Resources

We have compiled many resources to help you work with your students. There are several activities and lesson plans that you can use as well. Parents can use these activities as well.

Need additional support?

Students, families and staff can connect with mental health supports via the NYC Well website or hotline. Use this 24/7, especially when school is not in session.
