Hello!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. I am so excited for our year together!

I grew up in the Twin Cities area with my parents and five siblings.   I'm the oldest child in my family and one of my favorite things to do as a young girl was play school.  My siblings will tell you that I always insisted on being the teacher!

I graduated with a degree in elementary education from Bethel University in St. Paul. I have also completed graduate work at Winona State in the area of special education.

Previously, I taught third grade in the Twin Cities for six years.  After spending a few years at home with my children I returned to teaching.  This is my tenth year at Cotter!

Some of my favorite things to do are read, spend time outside, and garden.  My husband and I have four children.  Our oldest is a '23 Cotter grade and is beginning her sophomore year of college!  Our sons will be in tenth, ninth, and fourth grades here at Cotter.  I love attending their activities and seeing them grow. 

I look forward to getting to know each of my students and their families this year. I love the energy and creativity of the children at school and am looking forward to a great year!
