Common Questions about Auditions
What should I wear?
Our preliminary audition is standard audition attire consisting of a half top and form-fitting bottoms including athletic leggings, shorts, or briefs. You can find most of these with Gems By Amy, Dallaswear, or even DIY a sports bra from a store! During BootCamp and finals, you should prepare to wear all black, free of logos and designs (sports bra and shorts).
How should I wear my hair and make-up?
Hair and makeup should be similar to a game-day style. You'll want more definition to your face and most people will accompany a spray tan and false lashes to their look. Hair should be a naturally occurring color, and style down. Natural curls and waves are always welcome in addition to styled curls, waves, or straight hair.
Will there be a football test?
While it's important to know about our team, organization, and the game played; there will not be a football test.
What can I expect from an interview?
Interviews are done in a panel with multiple candidates. You can expect at least 3 questions from a judge. Take time on your application, which may inform interview questions and final deliberations.
What skills are you looking for?
We are a professional team, and we are looking for dynamic performers who are coachable. Feel free to watch our performances from last year here. You should have a clean double-pirouette, flexibility, and powerful kicks. If you have kip-ups, headsprings, aerials, leaps, jumps, or specialty jumps, these are all great bonuses!
Do I have to pay for my uniforms?
No, all uniforms are provided by the organization, but they are entrusted to our dancers for adequate care and safekeeping. Dancers are held liable for damages or losses. Your audition attire is provided by you, however.
Is there a fee for auditions?
No, there is a small fee for our prep classes which we highly recommend, but not to audition! Auditions are open to all!
Will you have a virtual audition this year?
This year all auditions will be in person.
Where are games played?
Games are played at the legendary Denver Coliseum.
