Cortland High School Internship Program
Being accepted into this program affords juniors and seniors real world experience in careers of interest, along with transferrable skills essential to any career.

Do you want to make sure you will definitely want to major in a certain area in college?
Do you want to pursue a career interest that you can’t learn about in a typical classroom setting?
Then the CHS Internship Program is perfect for you!
Interns will also have the option to earn 3 college credits for ALEX 249 when completing 100 hours or more of internship experience!
During Semester 2 of the school year, a typical intern must expect to do/participate in the following:
Leave for 2 or 3 periods (and lunch) each day to complete internship experience hours, then return to school
Complete and submit a weekly time sheet to program coordinator
Complete and submit a weekly journal entry on Google Classroom
Be evaluated by internship mentor every 5 weeks (Google Form shared to mentor)
Be observed on site by program coordinator
Complete a Google Slides presentation for Internship Social Hour in June
Attend Internship Social Hour in June
Maintain passing grades in all other courses, along with a clean attendance and discipline record
Current sophomores and juniors: Submit an internship application to Mrs. Norman by June 1st to be considered for a placement next year!
