We will have a pumpkin auction to raise funds for the PTA, as well as awards given for best pumpkins in several categories. Pumpkins can be donated for the auction, or pictures can be submitted for the awards.
A costume photo collage of all our cute students will be presented Wednesday night.
Make your voice heard!
Don't be silent
So much is changing in our community, and as parents we have to make sure we have a say in the decisions being made about our children's education. We all have opinions about how APS should respond to the pandemic, and we have to act to make sure we are heard.
Here is who to contact if you have something to say:
Corrales' Board of Education Representative: email@example.com
APS Board President: firstname.lastname@example.org
APS Student Service Center: (505) 855-9040 email@example.com
Welcome back to school!
School year 2020-21 will be the best one yet!
As we begin this new, and very different, school year, we are more aware than ever of our need for community. Our teachers and staff have worked so hard to translate their tried and true practices into ones that can be realized virtually, and/or on a hybrid schedule. We as parents have a similar challenge! We have to find ways to support our school that can be realistically accomplished during this pandemic. With our kids learning from home, and many of us trying to juggle work and so many other responsibilities, we have more on our plates than ever! That is why it is so important that we all pitch in and do what we can. In short....
We have to support our teachers! The CES teachers and staff have historically looked to our pta to pay for not only some of their most essential curricula, but also many extras that make their jobs easier and better. Sure, we fund our community events, but the bulk of our support goes to requests from the teachers and staff. In this already-stressful time for teachers and staff, our job as volunteers becomes even more essential! So....
We have to fundraise! Many of the wonderful donors who have given money to support our PTA are in financial distress because of the pandemic. Many of our families who normally support the PTA are also suffering financially right now. We have to be creative and find ways to raise the funds our teachers and staff count on.
We need every CES Parent to join us this year, to help in whatever way they can to carry our school through a trying time. Please become a PTA member!!! Click here to join.
We are so excited to meet the new challenges that this school year will bring together!
