Jamie is excited to return to Corpus Christi after 19 years. A graduate of University of San Diego, she appreciates the benefits of Catholic Education. Her children attended St. Michael School in Livermore where she taught art and art history for seven years, volunteered inside and outside the classroom, and was an assistant teacher and teacher at the grammar school level.
Jamie moved back to Oakland and began to substitute teach in the Oakland Unified School District as well as Corpus Christi. She found her home at Corpus and is thrilled at the opportunity to teach 6th grade. "Teaching and learning have continued to be my lifelong passion.
"I enjoy getting students to question and think about historical events from unique perspectives and critically analyze world events." In my spare time, my husband and I love to spend time with our adult children, family, and friends, as well as hiking, biking, snowboarding, and traveling."
As a lifelong learner she can't wait to share her love for history, literature and religion.
