Ms. Botton

Melina was born and raised in Mexico. She has been in the field of education for 20 years as a classroom teacher, teaching artist, and advocate for underperforming students. Her passions include alternative pedagogical practices, progressive curriculum development, and social equity. Her biggest joy lies in creating art based multicultural experiences that makes learning exciting and achievable. Melina holds a BA in History from Brandeis University, and a Graduate Certification in PsychoPedagogy from the Universidad IberoAmericana in Mexico.
