Ms. Lasa

Amaia was born in Bilbao, Spain. She holds a degree in information sciences with a specialization in marketing from the Universidad del País Vasco. Most of Amaia’s professional experience in Spain is in the area of technical education, as a corporate trainer. At Viva el Español, Amaia has experience teaching all grade levels, from Kindergarten through middle school. She is a teacher who comes to the classroom prepared and ready to teach and share her traditions with a fun and engaging style that kids are drawn to. Amaia’s love for teaching has led her to pursue coursework in Early Childhood Education at Mills College. In her free time Amaia enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, gardening and reading.
