Mrs. Crudo

Amy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and moved 13 times before 6th grade. From the deep South to the Midwest and into the Rockies, she was always the new kid at every different kind of school there is! She got her BA in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University in 1993 and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to work for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. That is where she met her husband, Jim - the best youth sports coach in America! Her three kids are the coolest people she knows.

In 1999, she created and taught a preschool gross motor development program which kicked off a love of being in the school setting and experiencing school all over again! She has spent the last several years working as a teacher and coach at schools around Oakland and Alameda and loving being the new kid again - this time as a teacher! She still writes, loves all sports, falls in public a lot and has the strangest dog you'll ever meet. American history, reading, cooking and hiking are some of her favorite things!
